Carrie Chappell’s work explores female perspectives as they confront the conflicting nostalgia for and injury perpetuated by Western patriarchal structures in North American and European cultures. Her poetry has appeared in Anastamos, Blue Mesa Review, CALAMITY, Cimarron Review, Cream City Review, FORTH Magazine, Harpur Palate, Juked, Pittsburgh Poetry Review, and The Volta. Her book essays have appeared in The Collagist, Diagram, FANZINE, The Iowa Review, Xavier Review, and Buried Letter Press.
Since completing her Master of Fine Arts from the University of New Orleans’ Creative Writing Workshop in 2013, she has shared her creative and scholarly writing, both in print and in public readings, and has actively sought to engage with and publish critical writing that prolongs the discussion of contemporary female-authored texts. Each April, she curates the Verse of April project, a digital anthology of homage to the poets. Currently, she lives, writes, and teaches in Paris, France, and serves as Poetry Editor for Sundog Lit.
L’œuvre de Carrie Chappell explore des perspectives féminines, face à la nostalgie conflictuelle pour et aux blessures perpétuées par les structures patriarcales occidentales dans les cultures nord-américaine et européenne. Sa poésie a paru dans Anastamos, Blue Mesa Review, CALAMITY, Cimarron Review, Cream City Review, FORTH Magazine, Harpur Palate, Juked, Pittsburgh Poetry Review et The Volta. Chaque mois d'avril, elle édit le projet Verse of April, une anthologie numérique de l'hommage aux poètes. Actuellement, elle vit, écrit et enseigne à Paris et travaille en tant que rédactrice de poésie pour Sundog Lit.

Cole Swensen is the author of 17 books of poetry, most recently On Walking On (Nightboat, 2017) and a collection of critical essays, Noise That Stays Noise (U. of Michigan, 2011). Her work has been awarded the Iowa Poetry Prize, the S.F. State Poetry Center Book Award, and the National Poetry Series, and has been a finalist twice for the L.A. Times Book Award and for the National Book Award. A former Guggenheim Fellow, she co-edited the Norton anthology American Hybrid and is the founding editor of La Presse. She has translated over twenty books of French poetry, prose, and art criticism, including Jean Frémon's Island of the Dead, which won the PEN USA Award in Translation. She divides her time between Paris and Providence R.I., where she teaches at Brown University. www.coleswensen.com

Marie Borel is a traveller, author and translator.
Her first collection was Fin de citation, (cipM, 1995) translated into English as Close Quote, by Keith Waldrop, Burning Deck, 2001). Followed by Trompe-Loup, (Le bleu du ciel) with the English version Wolftrot, translated by Omar Berrada & Sarah Riggs, (La Presse 2003).
Other collections by Borel include Tombeau des caraïbes (contrat-maint, 2003), Priorité aux canards, (Editions de l’Attente, 2008), Le monde selon Mr Ben, (Fage éditions, 2008), Écrit sur du sable, (contrat-maint, 2008), Le Léopard est mort avec ses taches, (Editions de L’Attente, 2011) and LOIN, (Editions de l’Attente, 2013). Marie Borel is herself a translator from English and her translated volumes, into French – most of them in collaboration include: Tom Raworth, Sarah Riggs, Rosemarie & Keith Waldrop, Rosmarie Waldrop, Lisa Jarnot, Dona Stonecipher, Etel Adnan, Cole Svensen.
