BIOS:

Vianney Lacombe est un poète et critique littéraire, né en 1946. Après 2 recueils de poésie dans les années 70, il a publié des écrits sur l’art contemporain dans Opus international, Arte factum, Kanal, Verso et le site visuelimage.com. En 1994, publication de Index (Voix Richard Meier) et de La voix obscure, 30 poèmes illustrés par Mark Alsterlind (C.Q.F.I., 1997 : https://www.livre-rare-book.com/book/5472460/36972 ), et en 2018, parution du recueil de poèmes LE SOIR LA NUIT LE JOUR (Isabelle Sauvage). Publication de En vue, 2 poèmes, avec Philippe Compagnon chez Bernard Gabriel Lafabrie en 2024.Textes critiques dans  Action poétique, CCP, Poezibao, Sitaudis, Remue.net.  Son site est : https://vianney-lacombe.com/  Ce soir, Jennifer K Dick accompagnera sa lecture d’une présentation de quelques traductions de ses poèmes en prose encore inédits.

Jessica Quiry (1985) d’origine suisse-espagnole. Elle est nourrie par un parcours en histoire de l’art, littérature hispanique et muséologie. Parallèlement à son activité dans le milieu muséal, elle explore peinture, écriture et lecture performée, dans un élan de fusion entre langage visuel et poétique. Son premier livre est Diaporama (.zip) qui est « Né de la rencontre entre l’écriture, la peinture et la performance, ce livre expérimental se présente comme une traversée sensible des images, du langage et des souvenirs fragmentés. Mark Tardi is a writer, translator and critic. He will be launching his most recent poetry collection Recapitulation in the Wrong Key, just out from BlazeVOX Books (2025) (https://www.blazevox.org/shop-1/p/recapitulation-in-the-wrong-key-by-mark-tardi). Sarah Mangold writes: “In Recapitulation in the Wrong Key, Mark Tardi orchestrates a genre-defying work of poetry, elegy, and experimental forms. Half-sonnets, false starts, and Agent Orange reverberate to build a haunting meditation on memory, war, and family. “Because movement itself is a form of currency/ …Because you’re deceased, maimed or in Philadelphia.” A visceral, surreal sonata surfaces, bending syntax and expectation to witness the fractured terrain of personal and collective history.”

Mark Tardi’s translation awards include a 2023 PEN/Heim Translation Grant and a 2022 National Endowment for the Arts Translation fellowship. His translations include In Bloom by Katarzyna Szaulińska (Toad Press, forthcoming 2026), Viscera: Eight Voices from Poland (Litmus Press, 2024), The Squatters’ Gift by Robert Rybicki (Dalkey Archive, 2021), and Faith in Strangers by Katarzyna Szaulińska (Toad Press/Veliz Books, 2021). His poetry collections include The Circus of Trust (Dalkey Archive Press, 2017) and Airport music (Burning Deck, 2013). Recent writing and translations have appeared in Argo (Italy), Bombay Gin, Conjunctions, Poetry, Full Stop, MAYDAY, Ilanot Review, Denver Quarterly, Interim, Cagibi, and in the anthology, Songs of Summer: Poems about Baseball (Water’s Edge Press, 2025). He is on faculty at the University of Łódź.

Anne Kawala est née en 1980. Diplômée des Beaux-Arts de Lyon, son travail interroge les rapports qu’entretiennent entre autres, anthropologiquement, historiquement, politiquement, formellement, oralité et scripturalité. Cette recherche se traduit à la fois par des publications papiers et des formes performées. Elle collabore également avec musicien,nes, metteur,ses en scène et chorégraphes. Récemment publié : Au cœur du cœur de l’écrin (Lanskine, 2017). 

Mark Tardi is originally from Chicago and he earned his MFA from Brown University. His publications include the books The Circus of Trust (just out from Dalkey Archive Press), Airport music, and Euclid Shudders. He guest-edited an issue of the literary journal Aufgabe devoted to contemporary Polish poetry and poetics and has translated poetry from the Polish by Kacper Bartczak, Miron Białoszewski, Monika Mosiewicz, and Przemysław Owczarek. As a former Fulbright scholar, he lives with his wife and two dogs in a village in central Poland and is on faculty at the University of Łódź. 

Eugene Ostashevsky, born in 1968 in Leningrad, USSR, immigrated with his family to New York in 1979, currently lives in Berlin and teaches in Paris. Writes in American English destabilized by puns, sound play, and foreign words. His latest book of poetry, The Pirate Who Does Not Know the Value of Pi, published by NYRB Poets, contemplates communication challenges faced by pirates and parrots. It was published in France by l’Atelier de l’Agneau with translation by Sophie Schulze, and in Germany by KookBooks with translation by Uljana Wolf and Monika Rinck. His previous book of poetry, The Life and Opinions of DJ Spinoza, published by Ugly Duckling Presse in Brooklyn, examines the defects of natural and artificial languages. As translator and scholar, Ostashevsky specializes in OBERIU, the 1920s-30s Leningrad avant-garde group led by Alexander Vvedensky and Daniil Kharms. He has had his librettos for the composer Lucia Ronchetti performed in Italy and Germany.
