MARC PERRIN est né à Clermont-Ferrand en 1968. Après des études de cinéma à l’université Paris 8, se consacre à l’écriture de textes aux frontières de la poésie, du théâtre, du carnet de bord. Est actuellement domicilié à Nantes. Développe un travail mêlant écriture & lecture_improvisation, seul ou en collaboration avec d’autres artistes, notamment avec Marie Bouts, Benoit Cancoin, Soizic Lebrat, Vincent Tholomé. Pour le théâtre : avec Perrine Mornay. Vanessa Place est écrivaine et avocate américaine. Elle a fait ses études de droits

aux universités d’Antioche (M.F.A.), de Boston (J.D.) et du Massachusetts, Amherst (B.A.). Elle exerce son métier d'avocate à partir de 1985. De 1999 à 2001 elle a été auteur de scénarios pour la télévision américaine notamment avec la productrice Liz Friedman. Depuis 2005, Vanessa Place codirige la maison d’édition indépendante Les Figues Press (aux USA) avec Teresa Carmody, Pam Ore et Sarah LaBorde. Elle collabore régulièrement au magazine d’art X-Tra Contemporary Art Quarterly de Los Angeles. Place a publié huit ouvrages et a contribué à des revues comme Northwest Review, Northridge Review, Film Comment, Contemporary Literary Criticism, 4th Street: A Poetry Bimonthly, LA Weekly Literary Supplement, Five Fingers Review, et n/Oulipo. Performeuse redoutée, Place a réalisé des performances à : The Whitney Museum of Art (NYC), The Kitchen, The Smell, Los Angeles Public Library, PS1 /Museum of Modern Art, Hammer Museum, Museum of Contemporary Art, St. Mark's Poetry Project, KGB Bar, Pierre Menard Gallery, University of California/Santa Cruz, University of California, San Diego, CalArts, ainsi que des interventions plus sporadiques à Oslo, Shanghai, San Francisco, Oakland, Boston, New York, Baltimore, Seattle, Portland, Chicago, Lund, Prague et ailleurs. Eleni Sikelianos, poète américaine, est l'auteur de 7 recueils de poésie. Elle a été traduit en français--notamment Le livre de Jon (qui est paru aux éditions Actes Sud, traduit par Claro) et Le Poème Californie (traduit par Béatrice Trotignon aux éditions Grèges). Elle est venue à plusieurs reprises en France pour des résidences et des lectures, notamment en résidence à la maison des écrivains étrangers et des traducteurs où elle avait participé à l'élaboration du sommaire de la revue bilingue meet n°4 New York / Naples et elle est actuellement en résidence à Paris 8 pour le mois de novembre 2014. La meet avait ainsi publié un poème The woolgatherers (traduit de l'américain par Isabelle Pellissier) de la poète, musicienne, chanteuse de rock et photographe américaine Patti Smith. Vanessa Place is the author of eight books, a performer, lawyer, publisher, art critic and translator who the Boston Review called “the spokesperson for the new cynical avant-garde,” the Huffington Post characterized her work as “ethically odious,” and Dazed called her “the super cynical dark overlord of the poetry world,” while philosopher and critic Avital Ronell said she is “a leading voice in contemporary thought.” Vanessa Place was the first poet to perform as part of the Whitney Biennial; a content advisory was posted. Other exhibition work has appeared at MAK Center/Schindler House; Denver Museum of Contemporary Art; the Boulder Museum of Contemporary Art; The Power Plant, Toronto; the Broad Museum, East Lansing; and Cage 83 Gallery, New York. Selected recent performance venues include Museum of Modern Art, New York; Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles; Detroit Museum of Contemporary Art; Andre Bely Center, St. Petersburg, Russia; Kunstverein, Cologne; Whitechapel Gallery, London; Frye Art Museum, Seattle; the Sorbonne; and De Young Museum, San Francisco. Recent books include Boycott; Statement of Facts; Notes on Conceptualisms, co-authored with Robert Fitterman, and her translation of Guantanamo, by French poet Frank Smith. Place also works as a critic and criminal defense attorney, and is CEO of VanessaPlace Inc, the world’s first poetry corporation. Place is currently in Paris as part of an exchange with Nanterre University.

Performer, author, editor and translator, Marc Perrin was born in Clermont-Ferrand in 1968.

He completed his film studies at Paris 8 before devoting himself to writing texts on the borders of poetry, theater and travel-log. He currently resides in Nantes where he has been developing a kind of work combining writing and improvisational readings, at times alone and at others in collaboration with other artists—in particular Marie Bouts, Benoit Cancoin, Soizic Lebrat, and Vincent Tholomé. He has also collaborated on writing theater work with Perrine Mornay. Perrin’s publications include Vers en chant neuf (Ce qui secret / La rue blanche / Olibrius, 2008), Avoir lieu (Dernier Télégramme, 2010). He also has work in numerous literary reviews, such as Aka, Ce qui secret, Chimères, Coaltar, Dixit, Du nerf, Gare Maritime, La tête et les cornes, La vie manifeste, LGO, Libr-Critique, Multitudes, Nioques, Ouste, remue.net, and 22MdP. Eleni Sikelianos is the author of seven books of poetry, most recently The Loving Detail of the Living & the Dead, and two hybrid memoirs/essays (The Book of Jon, City Lights, and You Animal Machine, CoffeeHouse). Three books have come out in France: Le Livre de Jon (trans. Christophe Claro, Actes Sud; Le Poeme Californie et De L’histoire, de la vision, trans. Béatrice Trotignon, Greges), with two more on the way. Sikelianos has taught poetry in public schools, homeless shelters, and prisons, and collaborated with musicians (Philip Glass, Sandra Wong, etc.), filmmakers (Ed Bowes) and visual artists (Peter Cole, Mel Chin, etc.). She is on guest faculty for the Naropa Summer Writing Program, and for L’Ecole de Littérature in France and Morocco; she teaches at the University of Denver, and is currently poet in residence for L’Université de Paris 8.

Eleni Sikelianos est poète (plus récemment du recueil Body Clock (Coffee House Press, 2008) et du chapbook The Abstracted Heart of Hours & Days (Bonfire Press, 2008) et écrivain d’une mémoire. Ses écrits joue sur le débordement du poème par l’introduction d’images et de dessins ainsi que de documents historiques et scientifiques, qui portent la trace de son vif intérêt pour l’art en général (et en particulier le Land Art et les formes d’art dites site-specific) ainsi que sa passion pour les sciences, dont la zoologie, l’océanographie, la chimie, la microbiologie et la cosmologie. Eleni est l’arrière petite-fille du grand poète grec Angelos Sikelianos (1884-1951), et elle a vécu, en pleine époque hippie, à Santa Barbara (Californie), avec sa mère, une enfance plutôt « bohème », ne voyant que de loin en loin un père absent à qui elle consacrera un émouvant mémoire, The Book of Jon. Son père, musicien, accroc à l’héroïne, après trois ans de déréliction dans la rue, est mort d’une overdose dans un motel d’Alburquerque en 2001. Passionnée de zoologie et d’océanographie, elle entame des études de biologie et passe un an à Paris, étudiante à l’Institut Catholique. Après quoi, à vingt ans, elle part explorer le Vieux Monde pendant dix-huit mois, en train, en stop, en bateau, de Londres à Istanbul, du Caire à Nairobi. De retour en 1989 aux États-Unis, elle s’inscrit en « écriture » à Naropa, l’université bouddhiste de Boulder (Colorado). Elle lit de la poésie depuis toujours, mais c’est sur ce campus que diverses rencontres l’enhardissent à en écrire. En 1993, elle publie son premier recueil : To Speak While Dreaming. Elle habite alors plusieurs années à New York, où elle écrit les poèmes de Earliest Worlds (2001) et The California Poem (2004), deux recueils dont est composé le volume paru en français. Actuellement, Eleni Sikelianos enseigne à l’Université du Colorado, à Boulder, et Denver University où elle vit avec son mari, l’écrivain Laird Hunt, et leur fille Eva. Eric Cassar est poète et architecte-ingénieur. Eleni Sikelianos is the author of, most recently, Body Clock (Coffee House Press, 2008), and before that, both in 2004: The California Poem, a book-length exploration of growing up in her home state, from Coffee House Press; and The Book of Jon, a media-rich meditation on the nature of drug addiction, daughterhood, and death, from City Lights. Eleni’s previous books are The Monster Lives of Boys & Girls, Earliest Worlds, The Book of Tendons, The Lover's Numbers, and To Speak While Dreaming. She is the recipient of a number of awards, including the National Poetry Series (for The Monster Lives), residencies at Princeton University as a Seeger Fellow and at Yaddo and the Maison des écrivains étrangers in Brittany, a Fulbright Writer's Fellowship in Greece, a New York Foundation for the Arts Award in Nonfiction Literature, a National Endowment for the Arts fellowship, two Gertrude Stein Awards for Innovative American Writing, a New York Council for the Arts Translation Award, and the James D. Phelan Award for Blue Guide. Her work has appeared in many magazines and journals, including Grand Street, Sulfur, Chicago Review, and Fence. Eleni has spent a fair amount of her life traveling by foot, thumb, train, boat and plane (including sixteen or so months hitchhiking across Europe and Africa: London to Istanbul, Cairo to Nairobi; trips to Mexico City, Oaxaca, the Yucatan, Borneo, Hong Kong, and Kuala Lumpur; many trips to Greece; and a few years in France). She currently lives in Colorado with her husband, the fiction writer Laird Hunt, and their daughter, and she teaches in the MFA program at Naropa in Boulder, and in the Creative Ph.D. program at the University of Denver.

Eric Cassar currently lives & works in paris where he is a poet and architect-engineer. Often exploring new forms, he has written numerous books seeking to tear, puncture, or go beyond the envelopes of language, to perturb its resonances. Author of numerous chapbooks, Eric Cassar recently had his first full length book published, Instants poétiques (éditions les Vanneaux, June 2010 with a preface by Julien Blaine). Other writings have appeared in print and online reviews such as Docks or on Sos-art. He was an invited poet to the festival des voix de la méditerranée in Lodève in 2009, and many of his Vidéopoèmes (for example, série n°1, 60 vidéopoèmes) appear on Dvd. He has also written theatre, image-poems and a livret for an opera, La voix humaine réponse among other projects. In fact, in both his writing and architechtural life, Cassar has favored many collaborative projects. For example, in 2005, he created the architechtural studio called «Arkhenspaces», which is a space where numerous architects, artists and engineers work together on a wide variety of projects (http://www.arkhenspaces.net/arkhenspaceshell.html). He also co-fonded the group SOS-ART.com which is at http://www.sos-art.com/. Finally, among his many performative artistic projects, one can note the writing and mise en scène of « M’aidée ? » a tragédy for one actrice which was put on at the théâtre de l’atelier du Plateau, Paris, 2005, and the projection of « Vidéopoèmes » at various international festivals including in Buenos-Aires, Argentina (Vidéobardo 2008 & 2010), in Bury, England (Text Festival 2009), and in the USA at Ohio State University.
