Amy Catanzano is an American poet whose current work as a writer explores the interdisciplinary intersections of poetry and science with a focus on quantum mechanics and innovative art and literature. Her visit to Paris is part of an investigative experiment in quantum poetics that starts with travel from the United States to the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN) in Geneva through the support of an arts and humanities grant from Wake Forest University, where she is an assistant professor and poet-in-residence. Catanzano then goes to the Laboratorio Subterráneo de Canfranc in the Spanish Pyrenees, where she has been invited to be present for the formal review of an experiment studying neutrinos. A visit to the Donostia International Physics Center in San Sebastian follows, where she will give a poetry reading and lecture on science and poetry through the center’s Mestizajes Programme, which explores the relationship of science, literature, and art. In addition to reading in the Ivy Writers Paris Reading Series, she is participating in a poetry festival and teaching a guest workshop in science and writing. Catanzano’s latest book is Starlight in Two Million: A Neo-Scientific Novella, recipient of the Noemi Press Book Award for Fiction. She is also the author of Multiversal, recipient of the PEN USA Literary Award in Poetry, and iEpiphany. She has an MFA from the Iowa Writers’ Workshop and a BA from Colorado State University. Rebecca Seiferle is the author of four poetry collections, Her most recent poetry collection, Wild Tongue, (Copper Canyon Press, 2007) won the 2008 Grub Street National Poetry Prize. Bitters (Copper Canyon, 2001) won the Western States Book Award and a Pushcart prize; The Music We Dance To (Sheep Meadow Press, 1998) won the Hemley Award from the Poetry Society of America; The Ripped-Out Seam (Sheep Meadow Press, 1993) won the Bogin Memorial Award, The National Writer’s Union Prize, and the Poets & Writers Exchange Award. She was awarded the Lannan Literary Fellowship for Poetry in 2004. Copper Canyon Press published her translation of Vallejo’s The Black Heralds in 2003, and her translation of Vallejo’s Trilce  (Sheep Meadow Press, 1992) was a finalist for the PenWest Translation Award. Her translations are included in The Whole Island: Six Decades of Cuban Poetry and Reversible Monuments: Contemporary Mexican Poetry. She has been a Visiting Writer at Vanderbilt University, writer-in-residence at Hamilton College, Jacob Ziskind poet-in-residence at Brandeis University. Seiferle has been a featured reader and workshop presenter at the Summer Literary Seminars in Vilnius, Lithuania, StAnza International Poetry Festival in St. Andrews, Scotland, the Language Fair in Bozen/Bolzano Italy, and Druskininski Fall Poetry Festival in Druskininski, Lithuania. Margaree Little’s first book, Rest, is forthcoming from Four Way Books. Her poems have appeared or are forthcoming in American Poetry Review, Beloit Poetry Journal, New England Review, The Missouri Review, The Southern Review, Poetry Northwest, Southern Humanities Review, Bloom, and Quarterly West.  Her criticism appears or is forthcoming in American Poetry Review and Kenyon Review Online.  She earned her BA from Brown University in 2009, and her MFA from Warren Wilson College in 2012.  She is the recipient of a 2013 Rona Jaffe Foundation Writers’ Award, the 2015 John Ciardi Scholarship in Poetry from the Bread Loaf Writers’ Conference, and a 2016 Bread Loaf Bakeless Camargo Fellowship.  She has taught writing at the Kenyon Review Young Writers’ Program and at Pima Community College, and is the 2016-2018 Kenyon Review Fellow in Poetry. Claude Ber a publié une quinzaine de livres (derniers parus Epître Langue Louve, La Mort n’est jamais comme, Prix International de poésie Ivan Goll, Monologue du preneur de son pour sept figures). S’y ajoutent livres d’artistes (derniers parus : Paysage de cerveau, photographies Adrienne Arth, Les Pourpres, peintures Anne Slacik), recueils de conférences, ouvrages collectifs, publications en revues et anthologies. Elle participe à de multiples colloques et festivals nationaux et internationaux. Les nombreux articles consacrés à son écriture, que M.C. Bancquart qualifie de « considérable par son unité d’inspiration comme par sa richesse lucide », soulignent la singularité  d’une démarche, où François Bon voit « un parfait manifeste de ce que nous avons à chercher, si l’écriture d’aujourd’hui (…) devient rétive à toute appartenance de genre ». Lisa Samuels has published thirteen books of poetry and prose, with recent experiments in memoir (Anti M, 2013) and the novel (Tender Girl, 2015). Her book-length transmigration poem Tomorrowland (2009) is being made into an art film by director Wes Tank, and her poetry has inspired musical scores by composer Frédéric Pattar and others. Lisa also creates soundwork and writes critical essays, recently Over Hear: six types of poetry experiment in Aotearoa/New Zealand (2015). Her book A TransPacific Poetics, edited with Sawako Nakayasu, is coming out this year, and current projects include The Civic Unconscious (poems) and The Long White Cloud of Unknowing (prose). A U.S.A.-born transnational poet, Lisa has also lived in Sweden, Israel/Palestine, Yemen, Malaysia, Spain, and since 2006 in Aotearoa/New Zealand, where she teaches at the University of Auckland. Marielle Anselmo est l'auteur du recueil Jardins (Editions Tarabuste, 2009), du livre-poème Une nuit (Editions Les Arêtes, 2007) ainsi que de plusieurs Cahiers de Peauésie de l'Adour, réalisés avec l'artiste Colette Deblé. Elle vient d'achever un dernier recueil, Vers la mer, écho d'un séjour de deux ans au Japon (2016). Ses poèmes ont été traduits en anglais, grec, arabe, vietnamien et japonais. Elle en a donné de nombreuses lectures publiques, seule ou accompagnée d'autres artistes. Enseignante et critique, elle a également dirigé l’ouvrage Traduire le rêve (actes du colloque franco-japonais de Fukuoka, Presses de l'Université Seinan, Japon) et publié des articles portant sur Marcel Proust, Hélène Cixous, Kenzaburô Ôé, etc. Elle a contribué aux Lettres Françaises, au Bulletin des Bibliothèques de France et au site nonfiction.

Linda Maria Baros (née 1981) est l'auteur de six recueils de poèmes, dont Le Livre de signes et d’ombres (Prix de la Vocation, 2004), La Maison en lames de rasoir (Prix Apollinaire, 2006, rééd. 2008), L’Autoroute A4 et autres poèmes (2009) et La nageuse désossée. Légendes métropolitaines (en cours de parution). Ses poèmes ont été traduits et publiés dans 29 pays. Parallèlement, elle a écrit du théâtre, ainsi que deux ouvrages de critique littéraire, et a traduit une trentaine de livres.  Membre de l'Académie Mallarmé et lauréate du prestigieux Prix Apollinaire, dont elle défend aujourd'hui la cause en qualité de secrétaire générale du jury, Linda Maria Baros est, comme le souligne Lionel Ray, une « poète hors du commun » dont «  l'œuvre magistrale d'audace surprend tant elle est imprévisible, rêveuse et tranchante à la fois ». À Paris, où elle vit depuis de nombreuses années et où elle a obtenu en 2011 le titre de docteur ès lettres de l’Université Paris-Sorbonne, Linda Maria Baros est secrétaire générale du Collège de littérature comparée, directrice du Festival franco-anglais de poésie et rédactrice en chef de la revue internationale de poésie et art visuel La Traductière. Elle va lire sa poésie et présentée le numéro 33 de la Traductière à Ivy Writers Paris ce soir !

Sasha Steensen is the author of four books of poetry, most recently House of Deer (Fence Books 2014, reviewed on Jacket2 and The RUMPUS), and Gatherest, forthcoming from Ahsahta Press. Previous collections include The Method (2008), and A Magic Book (2004), which won the Alberta DuPont Bonsal Prize, as well as several chapbooks, including the collaboration Correspondence: For La Paz (2004) with Gordon Hadfield.  Steensen frequently makes use of both research and personal history in her writing. Reviewing The Method, which takes its impetus from an ancient, evolving manuscript originally written by Archimedes, a reviewer for Publishers Weekly noted that “Steensen guides us through the long journey of this ancient manuscript and artfully demonstrates how a book is a record of power dynamics in this multifaceted exploration of the complicated relationship between an author and her creation, which speaks both for and against its author.” Having grown up in rural Ohio and Las Vegas, earned a BA and an MFA at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, and a PhD in poetics at SUNY Buffalo, Steensen currently lives in Fort Collins, Colorado, where she tends chickens, goats, bees, and children while working as a professor at Colorado State University teaching Creative Writing and Literature. Moe Seager is a writer and performance artist. Poet and Jazz & Blues vocalist, he sings his verses on stages in Paris, New York and elsewhere. He has recorded 2 jazz-poetry c.d's under the title the Blue Note Metaphor. His 6 poetry collections are issued from the French Ministry of Culture - Rio Escondido, Cairo press - One World, in Arabic translation (2003), les Temps des Cérises, Paris - A Paris selection in French translation, and Fishermen and Pool Sharks, Busking editions London, Moe Poems, self published in 2014. His essays have been broadcast on radio, television, in print and online as Paris Calling. Seager has had numerous works performed, commissioned for stages in the USA and France. Seager was writer-in-residence at Shakespeare and Company bookstore, Paris in 1995. A Golden Quill Awardee, 1989, (USA) for journalism,Seager earned an International Human Rights award, 1990, from the Zepp foundation-University of Pittsburgh for his numerous features, essays and poems for radio, print, online, written on site from numerous war zones in Central America, the Middle East, Africa, and Detroit, USA. His next edition, We Want Everything is forthcoming in April, 2016 by Onslaught press, Paris-Dublin. Seager lives in voluntary exile in Paris.

Michaël Batalla : né en 1971, est l’auteur de Poésie Possible (Nous, 2015), Poème paysage maintenant (Jean-Michel Place, 2007) et il vient (le Clou dans le fer, Reims, 2002). Rachel Zolf, née 1968, est poète et critique canadienne qui s’intéresse aux questions matérialistes sur la mémoire, l’histoire, la connaissance et la subjectivité ainsi que sur les limites conceptuelles du langage et du sens. Elle est l’auteur de 5 recueils de poésie: Janey’s Arcadia (2014, Coach House), Neighbour Procedure (2010, Coach House), Human Resources (2007, Coach House), Masque(2004), et Her absence, this wanderer (1999). Elle est la fondatrice et rédactrice en chef de la revue WALRUS et a dirigé plusieurs ouvrages. Une version cinématique de Janey’s Arcadia a été présenté au Festival International de Rotterdam et à d’autres festivals de film. Elle est également l’auteur du film The Light Club of Vizcaya: A Women’s Picture, dirigé par le plasticien New Yorkais Josiah McElheny, et qui a eu son premier à Art Basel Miami. Julia Bloch est auteur américaine-australlienne qui s’intéresse aux formes hybrides dans la poésie

du XXe siècle. Elle a deux ouvrages édités chez Sidebrow books : Letters to Kelly Clarkson (2013—qui est un recueil de poèmes en prose) et Valley Fever (2015). Elle est également l’auteur de plusieurs plaquettes de poésie. Son projet actuel est un livre critique sur les poèmes longues : "Lyric after Epic: Gender and the Postwar Long Poem". Ses essais, poèmes et compte rendus ont paru dans plusieurs revues, notamment : Women’s Studies Quarterly, How2, Mirage/Period(ical), Aufgabe, Five Fingers Review, New Review of Literature et le Journal of Modern Literature. Elle est co-rédactrice en chef de Jacket2 et elle enseigne la poésie et la littérature à Penn où elle dirige leur Faculté de Creative Writing. Her earlier collections include Masque(2004), which was shortlisted for the 2005 Trillium Book Award for Poetry and Her absence, this wanderer(1999), the title poem of which was a finalist in the CBC Literary Competition. She was the founding poetry editor for The Walrus magazine and has edited several books of poetry. Her film version of Janey’s Arcadia has shown at the International Film Festival Rotterdam and other venues. Among her many collaborations, she wrote the film The Light Club of Vizcaya: A Women’s Picture, directed by New York artist Josiah McElheny, which

Julia Bloch is a USA/Australian author whose interests in twentieth-century poetry and

poetics include the American long poem; formal hybridity; subjectivity; gender and sexuality; and genre theory. Her first book of prose poems, Letters to Kelly Clarkson (Sidebrow, 2013), was a finalist for the 2013 Lambda Literary Award, and her second book of poetry, Valley Fever, appeared in April 2015 from Sidebrow Books. She is also the author of the chapbook Hollywood Forever (Little Red Leaves). Her current book project, "Lyric after Epic: Gender and the Postwar Long Poem," investigates generic concordance and contention in the innovative American long poem, looking at issues of gender, ideology, and the place of the lyric. Julia’s poetry, reviews, and essays have appeared in Women’s Studies Quarterly, How2, Mirage/Period(ical), Aufgabe, Five Fingers Review, New Review of Literature, Journal of Modern Literature, and elsewhere; She is coeditor of the international poetics journal Jacket2. From 2011 to 2013 she served as assistant professor of literature at the Bard College MAT Program in Delano, California. From 2013 to 2015 she was associate director of the Kelly Writers House. As this work shows, Batalla's poetry can be read as a kind of research on the

effects of abstraction and the formal consequences of the hyper-precision of meaning. One of the methods he employs to this end is a kind of elongated observation of diverse societal or mental phenomena. He also co-organized and participated in the trilingual summer 2013 collaboration at the Moulin Rouge in Verberie, France from which the publication from the Benway Series (pictured at the left) and a series of short films appeared.
