Pascal Poyet, poète, éditeur et traducteur, a notamment publié Au Compère (Le Bleu du Ciel, 2005), Expédients (La Chambre, 2002), Causes Cavalières (L'Attente, collection Week-end, 2000), L'Embarras (Patin & Couffin, 2000). Ses textes ont paru dans différentes revues (Issue, The Germ, If, Action Poétique, Doc(k)s…), dans des catalogues d'expositions, et récemment dans l'ouvrage bilingue POEM : Poets On (an) Exchange Mission (Fish Drum Inc./Double Change, 2009) avec des traductions en anglais de Macgregor Card. Il a également traduit les textes de poètes et d’artistes américains contemporains comme David Antin dont je n’ai jamais su quelle heure il était a paru aux éditions Héros-Limite en 2008, Rosmarie Waldrop (Dans n'importe quelle langue, contrat maint, 2006), Peter Gizzi (Revival, CIPM/Spectres Familiers 2003); John Baldessari (Bars de rencontres et Montaigne, contrat maint, 2002), Charles Olson (Commencements, collectif, Théâtre Typographique, 2000), Abigail Child (Climat/Plus, Format Américain, 1999). British poet Rufo Quintavalle was born in London in 1978, studied at Oxford and the University of Iowa, and now lives in Paris where he is an active member of the Anglo literary scene. He is the author of the chapbook, Make Nothing Happen (Oystercatcher Press, 2009) and his poems have appeared in Barrow Street, Versal, Tears in the Fence, Great Works, Shadowtrain, The Wolf, The London Magazine, MiPOesias and elimae (see links below). He is on the editorial board for the literary magazine, Upstairs at Duroc and is currently acting poetry editor for the prize-winning webzine, Nthposition. Né en 1978 à Londres, Rufo Quintavalle a fait des études de littérature à Oxford et à l’université d’Iowa avant de s’installer à Paris. Auteur d’un plaquette entitulée Make Nothing Happen (Oystercatcher Press, 2009), ses poèmes ont été publiés dans plusieurs revues littéraires, notamment Barrow Street, Versal, Tears in the Fence, Great Works, Shadowtrain, The Wolf, The London Magazine, MiPOesias et elimae. Sa réflexion sur les modalités de fabrication et de publication de la poésie contemporaine le conduit à de multiples collaborations, notamment avec des architectes. Colin Mahar est poète et musicien. Né à New York, il a grandit au canada et depuis plusieurs années il vit et travaille à Paris. Il faisait parti du groupe du rock Hamper (en hiatus actuellemtn). Quelques extraits de ses chansons ainsi que deux vidéos de son travail sont disponible sur My Space à: www.myspace.com/colinmahar où il dit que sa musique trouve ses racines dans celle des artistes tels que Bob Dylan, Nick Drake, Elvis Costello, Tom Waits, Vic Chessnut et puis toutes sortes de musique des cowboys! Il crée actuellment une série de chansons basées sur des traductions et des traductions "erronées" d'Emily Dickinson dont il nous jouera quelques morceaux.

Joe Ross: the author of twelve books of poetry, Joe Ross was born in Pennsylvania. After graduating magna cum laude from the Honors Program at Temple University in Philadelphia. He moved to Washington, D.C. where he wrote his first book, Guards of the Heart, consisting of four plays written in poetic form. In D.C., Ross worked at The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts and was extraordinarily active in the cultural scene. He served as the President of the Board of the Poetry Committee at The Folger Shakespeare Library from 1994-1997 and as the Literary Editor of the arts bi-monthly The Washington Review from 1991-1997. He also Co-founded and directed the In Your Ear poetry reading series at the District of Columbia Arts Center. Michaël Batalla was born in Reims but currently lives and works in Paris where he is a poet and publisher, directing the collection expériences poétiques for le Clou dans le fer. His books include Poèmes paysages maintenant, (Jean-Michel Place, Paris, 2007) and il vient, (le Clou dans le fer, Reims, 2002). Among his many recent publications in reviews are (Cumulus [10 petits poèmes purs] –, L’étrangère no23-24 [éd. La lettre volée] ; Théorêv’rie de la source, Po&sie no128-129 [éd. Belin] ; and the chapbook Plein centre – tentative d’observation d’un inobservable réel : contemplation II, MIR no2 [éd. IKKO]). Forthcoming in a bilingual edition from the publisher éditions VMCF, accompanying a series of photographes by French architecture and landscape photogrpaher Benoit Fougeirol Autour/Around assembles a series of 20 poems by Batalla which have also been translated into English by Christophe Marchand-Kiss. Batalla's poetry can be read as a kind of research on the effects of abstraction and the formal consequences of the hyper-precision of meaning. One of the methods he employs to this end is a kind of elongated observation of diverse societal or mental phenomena.

COLIN MAHAR: Born in New York City, raised in Montréal, Colin Joseph Wolfgang Mahar moved down to San Francisco to pursue poetry. He then started writing songs on a pawn-shop-bought mariachi guitar. His first chords were learned from Punk Rock Pete. Back in Montréal his musical training was taken up by local poet/composer David Ranger and with his help Colin wrote his first tunes. He soon left for Paris and not long after, David ended up there too. After a return to San Francisco (to study poetics at the New College of California) and then a return to Paris (to write and drink wine) Colin joined David, Amanda Watters and Florent Selig to form HAMPER - a great rock band that is now on semi-permanent hiatus after the bassist and lead guitar player decided to have a baby together and move to Ottawa. In Paris, he has performed poetry as well as music, and you can see/hear an excerpt on the SpokenWord Paris blog (click title to see video of Blue Song). JULIEN BLAINE was born in 1942 at Rognac, on the banks of the lake of Berre, once a sky-blue pool of the sea, today a marron glacé. He lives in Paris and Marseilles and is as nomadic as possible. Poet, artist, performer, video/filmmaker, Blaine is the author of dozens of books, editor of Doc(k)s, organizer of many cultural events and reading series in France, & a highly sought out performer of poetry. Christophe Marchand-Kiss est né en 1964. Il a dirigé la collection «L’Œil du poète » aux Éditions Textuel. Auteur de performances, traducteur de l’anglais (Herman Melville, Edgar Poe, John Cage, Gertrude Stein, Peter Greenaway, Yoko Ono, Erns Jandl (de l'allemand) et de jeunes poètes américains), il est l’auteur de Regard fatigué (Aleph, 1998), Traduire en poésie (collectif, Farrago, 2001),Léo Ferré, la musique avant tout (Textuel, 2004),Gainsbourg, le génie sinon rien (Textuel 2006). Beverley Bie Brahic is the author of a collection of poems, Against Gravity (Worple Press, 2005), and of ten translations from the French, most recently Hélène Cixous’s Hyperdream (Polity Press, 2008) and Francis Ponge’s prose poems, Unfinished Ode to Mud (CBeditions, 2008, shortlisted for the 2009 Popescu Prize for European Poetry in Translation). Her work has appeared in the literary reviews The Colorado Review, Poetry, The Southern Review, Notre Dame Review, The TLS, Verse, Fence, and elsewhere. She has been awarded a Canada Council for the Arts grant and a residency at Yaddo. A Canadian, she lives in Paris and Stanford, California. Desmosthène Agrafiotis (1946) est poète, plasticien (peintre-photographe-artiste d’intermedia), sociologue et critique spécialisé dans l'art et la techno-science. Il est l’auteur de 15 recueils de poésie en grec, dont 14 traduits en français, 3 traduits en anglais ainsi qu’un traduit en portugais, en serbo-croate et en japonais. En tant que peintre, il a donné 16 expositions personnelles et participé à 79 expositions collectives. Il est Membre du Comite National Consultatif pour la Photographie Artisti (1998-2001) http://mucri-photographie.univ-paris1.fr/ et, en plus de ses expositions personnelles et collectives de photos, il a écrit plus de 40 textes critiques sur la photographie ainsi que 2 livres collectifs sur la politique de la photographie artistique. Il est également connu pour ses conférences et articles sur les phénomènes socioculturels et les articulations entre les « images-figures » et « les discours-texte ». Marie-Céline Siffert est l’auteure de deux recueils de poésie, Encore, (aux éditions Contre-Pied, 2007) et Monsieur en extase sur la couverture, (éditions Jacques Brémond, 2008) Née à Montpellier en 1977, elle a fait sa Maîtrise d’arts plastiques à Aix-en-provence, passée deux ans à Casablanca, au Maroc, fait un DNSEP à la Villa Arson, école d’art à Nice (vidéo) avant de quitter le sud pour vivre un moment à Paris. Elle a animé des ateliers d’écriture, fait des lectures collectives et a notamment participé à celles des « 5 Sans Edith » en 2006 et 2007, au CIPM. Elle a fondé la revue « Monsieur Thérèse », dont le n°0 est paru en 2006 et le n°1 en 2007. On peut également trouver ses textes dans les revues « Nioques » 1.7 et 1.9, « Java » (juin 2003), « BoXon » 10, « Cahier du refuge » 128, 144 et 154, « Café verre », « CCP »13 et 14. Desmosthène Agrafiotis (b1946) is the author of over 15 collections of poems in Greek & 14 in French, as well as critical books on Art as a sociocultural phenomenon, on photography & on poetry. His poetry has appeared in literary reviews or as translated books in English, French, Italian, Danish, Japanese, Serbocroate & Portuguese. He has a special interest for visual/concrete poetry, & has collaborated with French, Spanish & Japanese reviews of experimental poetry. His magazine 'Clinamen'(1980-90), co-published by Erato Publications in Athens (1991-1994), has been active for over a decade as an amalgam of Greek poetry and art with work from Europe and America. Twenty-five art books were published based on 'Clinamen' in the period from 1980 to 2001. Marie-Céline Siffert is the author of 2 collections of poems, Encore, (aux éditions Contre-Pied, 2007) and Monsieur en extase sur la couverture, (éditions Jacques Brémond, 2008) Born in Montpellier in 1977, She completed her MA in arts plastiques at Aix-en-provence, spent 2 years in Casablanca, Marocco, completed a DNSEP at la Villa Arson school of art in Nice (specializing in video work) before leaving the South of France to live for a while in Paris. She has taught writing workshops, given group readings and participated in a series of group readings called « 5 Sans Edith » in 2006 and 2007, at the International Center for Poetry in Marseille (CiPM). She founded the lit review « Monsieur Thérèse », and n°0 appeared in 2006 and n°1 in 2007.
