Eleni Sikelianos est poète (plus récemment du recueil Body Clock (Coffee House Press, 2008) et du chapbook The Abstracted Heart of Hours & Days (Bonfire Press, 2008) et écrivain d’une mémoire. Ses écrits joue sur le débordement du poème par l’introduction d’images et de dessins ainsi que de documents historiques et scientifiques, qui portent la trace de son vif intérêt pour l’art en général (et en particulier le Land Art et les formes d’art dites site-specific) ainsi que sa passion pour les sciences, dont la zoologie, l’océanographie, la chimie, la microbiologie et la cosmologie. Eleni est l’arrière petite-fille du grand poète grec Angelos Sikelianos (1884-1951), et elle a vécu, en pleine époque hippie, à Santa Barbara (Californie), avec sa mère, une enfance plutôt « bohème », ne voyant que de loin en loin un père absent à qui elle consacrera un émouvant mémoire, The Book of Jon. Son père, musicien, accroc à l’héroïne, après trois ans de déréliction dans la rue, est mort d’une overdose dans un motel d’Alburquerque en 2001. Passionnée de zoologie et d’océanographie, elle entame des études de biologie et passe un an à Paris, étudiante à l’Institut Catholique. Après quoi, à vingt ans, elle part explorer le Vieux Monde pendant dix-huit mois, en train, en stop, en bateau, de Londres à Istanbul, du Caire à Nairobi. De retour en 1989 aux États-Unis, elle s’inscrit en « écriture » à Naropa, l’université bouddhiste de Boulder (Colorado). Elle lit de la poésie depuis toujours, mais c’est sur ce campus que diverses rencontres l’enhardissent à en écrire. En 1993, elle publie son premier recueil : To Speak While Dreaming. Elle habite alors plusieurs années à New York, où elle écrit les poèmes de Earliest Worlds (2001) et The California Poem (2004), deux recueils dont est composé le volume paru en français. Actuellement, Eleni Sikelianos enseigne à l’Université du Colorado, à Boulder, et Denver University où elle vit avec son mari, l’écrivain Laird Hunt, et leur fille Eva. Eric Cassar est poète et architecte-ingénieur. Il a écrit plusieurs recueils où il cherche (en usant parfois de formes nouvelles) à déchirer, transpercer et dépasser les enveloppes du langage, à perturber ses résonances. En 2005, il crée l’atelier d’architecture Arkhenspaces. Il est également co-fondateur du groupe sos-art.com. Il vit et travaille à Paris. Eleni Sikelianos is the author of, most recently, Body Clock (Coffee House Press, 2008), and before that, both in 2004: The California Poem, a book-length exploration of growing up in her home state, from Coffee House Press; and The Book of Jon, a media-rich meditation on the nature of drug addiction, daughterhood, and death, from City Lights. Eleni’s previous books are The Monster Lives of Boys & Girls, Earliest Worlds, The Book of Tendons, The Lover's Numbers, and To Speak While Dreaming. She is the recipient of a number of awards, including the National Poetry Series (for The Monster Lives), residencies at Princeton University as a Seeger Fellow and at Yaddo and the Maison des écrivains étrangers in Brittany, a Fulbright Writer's Fellowship in Greece, a New York Foundation for the Arts Award in Nonfiction Literature, a National Endowment for the Arts fellowship, two Gertrude Stein Awards for Innovative American Writing, a New York Council for the Arts Translation Award, and the James D. Phelan Award for Blue Guide. Her work has appeared in many magazines and journals, including Grand Street, Sulfur, Chicago Review, and Fence. Eleni has spent a fair amount of her life traveling by foot, thumb, train, boat and plane (including sixteen or so months hitchhiking across Europe and Africa: London to Istanbul, Cairo to Nairobi; trips to Mexico City, Oaxaca, the Yucatan, Borneo, Hong Kong, and Kuala Lumpur; many trips to Greece; and a few years in France). She currently lives in Colorado with her husband, the fiction writer Laird Hunt, and their daughter, and she teaches in the MFA program at Naropa in Boulder, and in the Creative Ph.D. program at the University of Denver.

Eric Cassar currently lives & works in paris where he is a poet and architect-engineer. Often exploring new forms, he has written numerous books seeking to tear, puncture, or go beyond the envelopes of language, to perturb its resonances. Author of numerous chapbooks, Eric Cassar recently had his first full length book published, Instants poétiques (éditions les Vanneaux, June 2010 with a preface by Julien Blaine). Other writings have appeared in print and online reviews such as Docks or on Sos-art. He was an invited poet to the festival des voix de la méditerranée in Lodève in 2009, and many of his Vidéopoèmes (for example, série n°1, 60 vidéopoèmes) appear on Dvd. He has also written theatre, image-poems and a livret for an opera, La voix humaine réponse among other projects. In fact, in both his writing and architechtural life, Cassar has favored many collaborative projects. For example, in 2005, he created the architechtural studio called «Arkhenspaces», which is a space where numerous architects, artists and engineers work together on a wide variety of projects (http://www.arkhenspaces.net/arkhenspaceshell.html). Finally, among his many performative artistic projects, one can note the writing and mise en scène of « M’aidée ? » a tragédy for one actrice which was put on at the théâtre de l’atelier du Plateau, Paris, 2005, and the projection of « Vidéopoèmes » at various international festivals including in Buenos-Aires, Argentina (Vidéobardo 2008 & 2010), in Bury, England (Text Festival 2009), and in the USA at Ohio State University. Jacques Demarcq: Interroge les limites du sens, questionne les cultures. Membre du collectif TXT de 1979 à 1985. Demarcq est né en 1946 à Compiègne, et il vit actuellement à Paris. Il a été postier, journaliste, prof de lettres, syndic, historien, membre de la revue TXT(1979-1985), éditeur et critique d’art, producteur de radio, prof de design. Il est toujours : traducteur, écrivain. Il a beaucoup traduit E. E. Cummings, un peu Gertrude Stein et Andrea Zanzotto. A publié plus d’une douzaine de livres personnels. Dan Machlin is the Founder and Executive Editor of Futurepoem books, a New York City based publishing collaborative that champions innovative writing. He is the author of Dear Body: (Ugly Duckling Presse 2007) which received a "Face Out" CLMP/Jerome Foundation grant for emerging writers. His other books include 6x7 (Ugly Ducking Presse), THIS SIDE FACING YOU (Heart Hammer) and IN REM (@ Press). His poems and essays have recently appeared in SOME ESSAYS ABOUT A BIBLIOGRAPHY (Ed. Tan Lin, LULU), ONE WORD: CONTEMPORARY WRITERS ON THE WORDS THEY LOVE AND LOATH (Sarabande Books), American Book Review and Crayon. His poetry has also recently been displayed at PS1 Art Museum and he has also collaborated on a full length Audio CD with singer/cellist Serena Jost (Immanent Audio). Laura Mullen is a Professor at Louisiana State University. She is the author of three collections of poetry—The Surface, After I Was Dead, and Subject—and two hybrid texts, The Tales of Horror (Kelsey Street Press 1999), and Murmur (futurepoem books 2007). Prizes for her poetry include Ironwood’s Stanford Prize, and she has been awarded a Board of Regents ATLAS grant, a National Endowment for the Arts Fellowship and a Rona Jaffe Award, among other honors. She has had several MacDowell Fellowships and is a frequent visitor at the Summer Writing Program at the Jack Kerouac School of Disembodied Poetics at Naropa. Her work has been widely anthologized and has recently appeared or is forthcoming in Octopus, 1913, Bomb, Hotel Amerika, the Corpse, Ploughshares, and elsewhere. Her work is included in American Hybrid, just out from Norton. Recent prose has been collected in Civil Disobediences: Poetics & Politics in Action, and in other anthologies, and the Denver Quarterly recently published her essay on the poetry of John Yau. Jason Eckardt’s setting of “The Distance (This)” (from Subject) premiered at the Miller Theater in New York and was performed at the Musica Nova festival in Helsinki. She was invited to participate in the Taipei International Poetry Festival in 2009. Her fourth collection of poetry is forthcoming from the University of California Press in 2011. Ron Silliman said that award-winning United States poet and Critic Rachel Blau DuPlessis’ long poem project “Drafts” “…is proving to be one of the major poetic achievements of our time.” Begun in 1986, it is collected in Pitch: Drafts 77-95 (2010), in Torques: Drafts 58-76 (2007), in Drafts 39-57, Pledge, with Draft unnumbered: Précis (2004), all from Salt Publishing, as well as in Drafts 1-38, Toll (Wesleyan U.P., 2001). The Collage Poems of Drafts is forthcoming from Salt in fall 2010. Patrick Pritchett said of these: “DuPlessis has created one of the most sustained and magnificent meditations written by a contemporary poet on loss, presence, and the haunting persistence of language to redeem what has vanished ….”. But DuPlessis is also an acclaimed critical writer, having published the books of essays, Blue Studios: Poetry and Its Cultural Work (2006), The Pink Guitar: Writing as Feminist Practice (1990/2006) both from University of Alabama Press, along with Genders, Races, and Religious Cultures in Modern American Poetry, 1908-1934 (Cambridge University Press, 2001). Her recently completed critical book is Purple Passages: Patriarchal Poetry and its Ends. She has edited The Selected Letters of George Oppen (1990). Her work has been translated into French (by J-P Auxémery & Chris Tysh), Italian, Spanish, Portuguese and Serbian. Poete Joël Baqué est né en 1963 à Béziers et vit à Paris. Ses livres sont start-up aux Editions Le Quartanier (Québec), 2007, un rang d'écart aux Editions l'arbre à paroles (Belgique), 2003, angle plat aux Editions Hors Jeu (France), 2002 et une publication collective en Norvège, Audiatur katalog for ny poesie 2009. Joël participe à nombreuses revues dont (Action Poétique, BoXon, Nioques, Hapax etc…). Son livre start up est décrit comme ‘une somme d'explosions retenues, de stratégies boiteuses, d'élans à l'état brut, de cruautés maigres, d'accélérations déçues, de blocs opératoires troués, d'anti-poésie primaire, d'obsessions de petit format tiraillées entre l'amour du formulaire et le strabisme d'une pellicule 36 poses mal engagée.’

Nicole Mauro is an American poet from California and has published poems and criticism in numerous journals. She is the author of the chapbooks Odes (Sardines, 2003), Dispatch (co-authored with Marci Nelligan, Dusie, 2006), The Contortions (Dusie, 2007), Tax-Dollar Super-Sonnet (Pendergast/Dusie, 2009), Two-Dollar Bill (Dusie, 2010), and the forthcoming Mr.Water and Mrs. Quake (Meritage, 2010), part of the "H for H" (Hay(na)ku for Haiti) series edited, published and curated by Eileen Tabios for Haitian earthquake relief effort. Mauro's books include an interdisciplinary book about sidewalks titled Intersection: Sidewalks and Public Space (co-editor, with Marci Nelligan, ChainArts, 2008), a full-length poetry collection, The Contortions (Dusie, 2009), and the forthcoming Tax-Dollar Super-Sonnet Featuring Sarah Palin as Poet (Black Radish Books, 2010). She lives in the San Francisco bay area with her husband Patrick, and daughters Nina and Faye. She teaches rhetoric and writing at the University of San Francisco.

Poet, artist and poetry and art book publisher Stephen Vincent lives in San Francisco. His poetry titles include Walking Theory (Junction Press), A Walk Toward Spicer (Cherry On the Top Press), Sleeping With Sappho (faux ebooks), and Triggers (Shearsman ebooks). Recent poems have appeared in Vanitas, New American Writing, Volt, Crayon, 26, Masthead, Onedit, and the Hamilton Stone Review. “Haptics” was the name of recent show of his drawings at San Francisco’s Braunstein-Quay Gallery. The First 100 Days of President Obama (site-specific hapti drawings s & facing journal entries) was an exhibit, performance piece and new book produced at Steven Wolf Fine Arts Gallery on April 29, 2009 (the 100th Day). The Legion of Honor Museum, Logan Book Gallery, plants to exhibit his "Poetry Reading" Haptics and accordion fold City based works in the Fall of 2011. Anne Kawala : poète, performeuse, plasticienne, critique, elle a écrit un premier recueil, F.aire L.a F.euille qui est paru en 2008 (éd. Du Clou dans le Fer) et son deuxième est à paraître chez le même éditeur très très bientôt : seul rien’existe, (printemps 2010 !). Elle n’est pas une parisienne (est née à Herlincourt, Pas-de-Calais) mais vous ne la verrez pas sans talons. Il faut savoir qu’elle court avec parce qu’elle est souvent en retard. Mais elle ne fait pas ça pendant ses lectures (elle n’est pas en retard, elle ne court pas) : ses bras s’agitent dans une sorte de chorégraphie bizarre, elle lit debout derrière un pupitre une possible traduction de ses poèmes, soit une partition composée autour de textes et de poésies visuelles. Ses lectures se passent la plupart du temps dans des lieux d’art contemporain (BétonSalon, Point Ephémère…) parce qu’elle a fait les Beaux-Arts de Lyon. Elle écrit également des textes à mi-chemin entre poésie et critique (tentant de biaiser la critique universitaire). C’est aussi pour ça qu’elle dirige une revue en ligne, KazaK, avec Sarah Tritz, ainsi que RoToR, avec la même et Esther Salmona en plus!, qu'elle participe au groupe de recherche ACTH, situé quelque part entre Lyon (ENBAL) et Paris (EHESS).Elle a collaboré avec des chorégraphes, les partitions des metteurs en scène, etc. D'où découle notamment une pièce de théâtre, La terreur du boomerang, commandée par Emilie Rousset, pour l'Atelier de la Comédie de Reims (jouée en janvier-février 2010). Camille Martin is an American-born and raised Toronto poet and collage artist. The author of Sonnets (Exeter: Shearsman Books, 2010) and Codes of Public Sleep (Toronto: BookThug, 2007), she was born in El Dorado, Arkansas, and spend her childhood in Lafayette, Louisiana. A classical musician from an early age, she earned graduate degrees in both music and English literature. After residing in New Orleans for fourteen years, following Hurricane Katrina in 2005 she moved to Toronto, where she teaches writing and literature at Ryerson University. Her current work-in-progress is a long poem entitled The Evangeline Papers, based on her Cajun/Acadian heritage and drawing on her recent visit to Nova Scotia to participate in an archaeological dig at Beaubassin and to research Acadian and Mik'maq history and culture. Pierre Joris is a poet, translator, essayist & anthologist who left Luxembourg at 19 and has since lived in France, England, Algeria & the United States. He has published over forty books, most recently Canto Diurno #4: The Tang Extending from the Blade, an 2010 Ahadada Books (ebook), Justifying the Margins: Essays 1990-2006 and Aljibar I & II (poems). Other recent publications include the CD Routes, not Roots and Meditations on the Stations of Mansour Al-Hallaj 1-21. Recent translations include Paul Celan: Selections, and Lightduress by Paul Celan, which received the 2005 PEN Poetry Translation Award. With Jerome Rothenberg he edited the award-winning anthologies Poems for the Millennium (volumes I & II). He teaches at the University of Albany, SUNY. Oana Avasilichioaei : Poète et traductrice (du français et du roumain vers l’anglais), Oana Avasilichioaei vit et travaille à Montréal. Elle a publié, notamment, les recueils de poésie Abandon (2005) et feria : a poempark (2008), une traduction de la poésie de Nichita Stănescu intitulé Occupational Sickness (2006), et un livre écrit en collaboration avec la poète canadienne Erín Moure intitulé Expeditions of a Chimæra (2009). Sa traduction du recueil de poésie Les Îles, de l’écrivaine québécoise Louise Cotnoir, sera publiée en 2011. Elle participe aux diverses activités littéraires et professionnelles au Canada, aux États-Unis, au Mexique et en Europe. Le livre de poèmes le plus récent de l’auteur Mark Goldstein de Toronto, After Rilke: To Forget You Sang, a été publié par BookThug au printemps 2008. After Rilke est une série de traductions homophoniques basée sur les Voix, un travail écrit par Rilke en 1906. Plus récemment, sa propre petite presse, Beautiful Outlaw, a publié Handwerk, un ensemble de six chapbooks par les poètes Phil Hall, Erin Moure, Oana Avasilichioaei, Angela Carr, Jay MillAr et Goldstein. Sa collection de poemes suivante, Tracelanguage: A Shared Breath, les trans-traductions le travail séminal de 1967 du poète Paul Celan, Atemwende, vient d'être publiée par BookThug (printemps 2010).

Poète et traductrice Canadienne Angela Carr est l’auteur des receuils The Rose Concordance (BookThug, 2009) et Ropewalk (Snare, 2006). Ses poèmes ont paru dans des revues littéraires au Canada, notamment Open Letter, Jacket, Action Yes et textsound. Elle a presenté sur la traduction poétique à CUNY et l’Université de Calgary (Translating Translating Montréal). Elle enseigne au Toronto New School of Writing, mais elle vit à Montréal.

Bronwyn Haslam est un poète originaire de Calgary, au Canada. Elle a étudié à l'université de Calgary, où elle a obtenu un B.A. (hons) en littérature anglaise et un B.Sc. en biologie cellulaire et moléculaire. Ses poèmes ont été publiés dans des revues canadiennes telles que Matrix, The Capilano Review et The Last Supper. Elle habite actuellement à Montréal, où elle travaille comme écrivaine médicale.

Christophe Ippolito, professeur adjoint au Georgia Institute of Technology (Atlanta), travaille sur la modernité et l’antimodernité. Christophe Marchand-Kiss a dirigé la collection «L’Œil du poète » aux Éditions Textuel. Poète américain et bouddhiste zen, Norman Fischer publie depuis 1979. Dans les années 70 et 80, il a été associé avec les poètes L=A=N=G=U=A=G=E, mais son travail va au-delà d’un seul style ou mouvement. Poet and Zen Buddhist Norman Fischer, a graduate of the Iowa Writers’ Workshop, has been publishing poetry since 1979. Loosely associated with the L=A=N=G=U=A=G=E poets of the seventies and eighties, he maintains close creative and personal relationships with many writers from that movement. As is the case with most engaged writers who have published much over many years, Fischer’s work has changed over time and defies easy definitions. Fischer rejects the idea of his poetry as an expression or confession emanating from a unified and knowing self. “There’s no self or person, just what arises...writing is words, how they sound, how they look lying on the page.” Fischer’s poetry traces a consciousness well aware, albeit often enough puzzled, by the ever changing conditions of self/ other/ environment/ language. His writing reminds us of the idea that language is at once an avenue of imprisonment and liberation, and we may never be altogether certain which.
